The codes are distributed offline via GAME in the United Kingdom and Gamestop in Ireland and Germany.
They are also distributed online via the websites of GAME in the United Kingdom and Gamestop in Ireland.

How can you get these codes?

You can visit your local GAME or Gamestop store and ask for a free Shiny Zacian or Shiny Zamazenta code, you will not have to make any purchase.
If you want to get a free code online, you just have to visit the websites of GAME or Gamestop Ireland and enter your e-mail adress.
They will then send you your free code, you will just have to wait a while and they will also not opt you into any e-mail newsletter.

Can I get a free Shiny Zacian or Zamazenta code online even if I am not from the UK or Ireland?

Yes you can. If you own an European version of Pokémon Sword or Shield there should not be any problems.

Can I get both, Shiny Zacian and Shiny Zamazenta?

Yes but also no.
You will not be able to get a Shiny Zacian in Pokémon Sword and you will not be able to get a Shiny Zamazenta in Pokémon Shield, but if you have both versions of the game and if you manage to get two codes you can redeem both and you own both legendarys.
If you do not have both versions of the game, you are going to need a friend willing to give you their free legendary Pokémon.

How long will I be able to redeem the free codes?

You will be able to redeem the free codes until the 18th November 2021 in your copy of Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield.

How can I redeem my shiny code?

1.) Launch your Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield game.
2.) Select Mystery Gift on the X menu.
3.) Select Get a Mystery Gift.
4.) Select Get with Code/Password to save your game and connect to the internet.
5.) Enter your code or password.

6.) The Pokémon will appear in your party or your boxes.
7.) Make sure to save the game!
